Financial Management I

This course sets up a basic framework (concepts, principles, tools and techniques) for making decisions affecting a firm's present and future cash flow. The focus is on financial statement analysis and the principle of time value of money. Students are provided with opportunities to apply these analytical tools and skills in making decisions with regard to financial planning and control, working capital management, and capital budgeting. The risk factor in financial decision-making is also introduced. PREREQ: COMM 1106 or 1107. (cst 3) cr 3. Students may not retain credit for ADMN 3116, COMM 2026 COMM 2025, and FNCE 3006.
