Biblical Studies I: Interpretive Methods

The course examines various methods of interpretation of the Bible, from literal and allegorical interpretations, through the historical-critical method to more recent forms of criticism, such as reader-response, canonical and feminist criticism. Appropriate texts are utilized to illustrate these methods. (S) (sem/tut 3) cr 3. Students may not retain credit for both RLST 4116 and RLST 4115.
